Beginning Sewing Workshop for Kids (Ages 9-18)
This is a two-session workshop and you must attend both sessions.
A signed release from parent or guardian must be completed prior to the first session.
Learn to sew by making 3 easy project to take home!
You'll learn:
- Your sewing machine features including stitches, tension, and troubleshooting
- How to wind a bobbin and thread your machine
- How to measure and cut fabric with acrylic rulers and rotary cutter
Projects you will make will be a mug rug, small gift bag and a bowl cozy.
Workshop will be held at the Retreat Center located around the corner from the Textile Studio. Maximum of 8 students, a minimum of 4 for the workshop to make. Limited space is available, so please sign up early.

Requirements: | Attendees must have their own working sewing machine (with power cord & foot pedal), thread, needle and bobbin. A signed release is required from parent or guardian. |

Instructor Bio: | Lucy is an avid quilter. Her teaching experience includes four years of teaching sewing at the Bulverde library; numerous workshops and classes at local quilt guilds in Blanco, Bulverde, and San Antonio; and private sewing lessons. |
