Session 1 will cover quilting basics -the tools (rulers, rotary cutter, mats and fabrics), the techniques (cutting accurately and sewing accurate 1/4" seams) and machine piecing. Participants will be making a lap size quilt top using the Brick Tee pattern. Session 2 will continue with piecing to complete the quilt top, then move into making other basic quilt blocks such as the HST (half-square triangle), QST (quarter square triangle), and Flying Geese blocks. Session 3 will cover the basics of machine quilting and binding. Use of the Stripology Squared and Stripology Squared Mini rulers will be demonstrated and practiced throughout the sessions. To get the most out of this learning experience, participants should plan on attending all three sessions. No refunds will be provided for missing a session. Participants must provide their own machine, MUST be familiar with their own sewing machine and know that their machine is in good working order.
