Learn how to use your sewing machine starting with safety, parts and functions of the sewing machine, how to thread your sewing machine, wind the bobbin, how to select stitches and stitch lengths, and how to select the right sewing machine needle for your projects.
The class is in 2 parts, you can take one or both:
Part 1 - 10:00-12:00 Learning how to use your sewing machine ($25.00)
Part 2 - 1:00 - 4:00 Learn how to cut fabric and sew a travel size pillowcase,
18" X 13" ($25.00)

Skill Details: | For the person that has little to no previous sewing experience, who just bought their sewing machine and ready to learn. |
Requirements: | Must be at least 15 years old. Must have own sewing machine with standard sewing machine needle. Part 2 supplies to make travel size pillowcase are 3 fabrics, thread, rotary cutter, ruler and it would be helpful to bring your own cutting mat). Move information including a detailed list of materials will be provided after enrollment. |

Instructor Bio: | Christa is a public school Family & Consumer Science Educator. Her teaching experience includes 23 years in teaching students how to sew, as well as sewing for herself in her free time. she is a member of the local Blanco quilt guild, and enjoys inspiring others to learn to sew. |
