Beginning Sewing Workshop

Learn to sew by making 3 easy projects to take home!
You'll learn:
- How to use your sewing machine features including stitches, tension, and troubleshooting
- How to wind a bobbin and thread your machine
- How to measure and cut fabric with acrylic rulers and rotary cutter
Projects you will make include a mug rug, small gift bag and a bowl cozy. A complete list of supplies and additional information can be found Here.
Workshop will be held at the Retreat House located at 514 3rd street, around the corner from the Textile Studio.
Make sure your machine is in good working condition before coming to the workshop.

| Skill Details: | For the beginner that has little knowledge about their machine. Topics covered will include machine threading and maintenance, basic sewing stitches, fabric & tool information and much more. |
| Requirements: | Must have own sewing machine and be able to attend the entire workshop day. A complete supply list is available using the link in the Long Description. |

| Instructor Bio: | Lucy is an avid quilter. Her teaching experience includes four years of teaching sewing at the Bulverde library; numerous workshops and classes at local quilt guilds in Blanco, Bulverde, and San Antonio; and private sewing lessons. |
